What Causes Hot Flashes, Hairloss And No Periods After Taking Depo Shot For A Year?

Back in 1997 I took 1 year the depo shot and ever since I don t get no periods at all. I left the depo shot ever since cause I was having side effects like hot flashes, hair loss , and wouldn t get my periods and would have mood swings. So since then I don t take care of my self with nothing and I ask my doctor but he says ITs normal.

Hi,

Hot flashes, irregular or no periods, hairloss are all the side effects when you go off Depo Provera. The longer Depo-Provera is used, the longer it will take your body to restore normal menstrual cycles.

But once regular periods resume, women should have no increased difficulty conceiving, particularly if periods were regular before using Depo-Provera.
