What Causes Intermittent Pulsing In The Rectal Region?

I am a 44 year old female and I have noticed an intermittent pulsing sensation in my rectal area which started 4 or 5 days ago. I have no pain there nor anywhere else. My bowel movements are regular and there have been no changes in my diet, lifestyle or digestive functioning. I am active and healthy. My only siginifcant health issues are heavy periods. 6 years ago, I had a myomectomy (and removal of endometriosis) via laprascopic surgery. The large uterine fibroid that was removed was located between my uterus and rectum. I will be seeing my OB/GYN in 3 weeks but was wondering if there is anything else I should be concerned about. Thank you.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Intermittent pulsations in rectal area in a female of 44 with history of large myomectomy in past can be due to the following reasons:
Ano=proctitis meaning inflammation of the rectum and anal canal which can be due to IBS or infection.
This can be diagnosed by a per-rectal examination, proctoscopy and colonoscopy along with the tests of stool and blood.
This will give the idea about the present illness related to the pulsing sensation in the rectum area and give us a plan for further management.
Also identify the foods and beverages that instigate or enhance the problems and get corrected/ stop altogether.
Also take rectal steroid enema if there is an inflammation.
Avoid stress and anxiety.
