What Causes Itchy Rashes On Inner Thighs, Bottom And Stomach?

My daughter 2 1/2 years old has a red, bumpy rash on her inner thighs and a few on her bottom and stomach. They are raised and itchy. There s a few other kids in daycare with similar looking rashes. One doctor said it was viral. Daycare suspects she has the same looking rah. She has no other symptoms.

Hi,

It may be lichen urticaria. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

I would recommend you to apply mild steroid cream on the lesions. Give her a course of oral steroid in tapering dose. Give her antihistaminics like hydroxyzine HCL 10mg daily at night. It is hypersensitivity to insects...So, keep her away from insects.

Hope this helps.
