What Causes Itchy Red Spot On Back?

I have one red spot on my back that really itches. It used to be the size of a pencil eraser but now it's doubled in size. It's nots raised but slightly bumpy. It's been there for about a month and I'm concerned. I'm scared it could be skin cancer. Help?!

most probably it may be an insect bite reaction...you may not have noticed the bite..but symptoms suggest that...use dermocal lotion,along with antihistaminic tabs and a low dose of steroid(tab avil25 at night + wyslon 20 in the morning for 5 days).if not releived in 5 days,better to have a direct consultation,to look for thr need for biopsy.
