What Causes Mucus At Back Of Throat After Removing Tonsils And Adenoids?
Hi. I am a 17 year old girl and I just got my tonsils and adenoids out on Wednesday. I have seemed to have a lot of what it feels like mucus and siliva sitting in the back of my throat that I can t swallow. Not even water helps it. Is this normal? How do I get rid of it?
Hi, We often get such complaints post adenotonsillectomy from patient's, this problem is due to surgical wound (raw tonsillar fossa), please continue swallowing it will reduce your pain, have your food properly you will be fine, take care.
