What Causes Muscle Spasms In The Leg With A Tumor During An MRI Scan?

Hi, this might be a silly question but I had an MRI yesterday because I have a benign bone tumor in my femur. During the MRI the muscles in the leg with the tumor kept spasming/twitching, but only when the machine was actively imaging. I was wondering why this happens?

Hello,

MRI is a not a radiation.

The symptoms may be due to unwanted anxiety and not at all significant.

No definite treatment is required either.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
