What Causes Night Sweats After Laparoscopic Appendectomy?

I am a 32 year male that has never had surgery before my laparoscopic appendectomy. I had two abscesses after. One was drained and the other is being taken care of by antibiotics. I am on: levofloxacin, metronidazole, and meropenem. I have night sweats since surgery and want to know why? Thanks

Hi

If you've recently had surgery, you may experience sweating as a side effect of the anaesthetic. The drugs in your system will raise your body temperature and your body will try to cool you down by sweating. This will pass within a day or two.

Any history of fever should be ruled out.Excess pus collection around the surgical site should be watched for.Blood pressure and blood sugar should also be monitored.

Hope that was helpful.Let me know if i can assist you further.
