Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation In Shoulder Near Clavicle Bone?
The top of my right shoulder hurts (burning sensation), especially when you touch what I think is the end of my clavicle bone for about a week & the pain is getting worse. Almost feels like I bruised it, but I know that I had not hurt it in any way. 2 1/2 years ago I had 2 herniated disks removed & they put in 2 steel rods. I m not sure whether to see a doctor or treat this at home
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve in the shoulder. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest to avoid the movement of the shoulder to prevent further damage. If the symptoms continue, you should see a neurologist and get evaluated.
Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards!
