What Causes Pain Below Ribs On Left Side?

I am a 38 year old female who started having horrible pain just below my ribs on left side, fever of 100 and vomiting, i have had kidney stones previously and went to the ed. An ultrasound was done and no stone was detected.I was sent home on pain pills. I woke in the middle of the night with the worst headache (top of head) i have ever had in my life. I am extremely tired, feel nauseated all the time, fever comes and goes, hot flashes, sweating but the pain in my abdomen seems to be better, just a dull pain now. What could this be? Please help!!!
