What Causes Pain From Groin To Hip And Blood In Urine?

Hi,

I am a 26 year old female with good general health and no history of renal disease/hereditary illness in family, On a recent trip to my GP, +1 macroscopic blood was found in my urine. A repeat test showed the same thing. I had not paid attention to it before, but for perhaps 6 months I had been having mild pains shooting from hip to groin. I also have daily humming pains around my flank area, either side of the small of my back. Urine now looks darker too, like it 'sinks' with heaviness. I am going for an ultrasound this week but in the mean time it would be great to get your thoughts on what this could be? My research is pointing to kidney stones (but obviously more serious diseases are showing up too).

Many thanks.

Hi, welcome to healthcare magic forum.

It looks like stone or infection or some kind of infestation in urinary tract (kidney ureter bladder) so need not to worry just get the ultrasound done and also urine culture & sensitivity test, the diagnosis will be clear, followed by treatment.

Regards.
