What Causes Pain In Cricoid Area And Popping Sound After Eating?

Dr. Hi I swallowed a piece of chicken and heard a pop and now have pain on the cricoid area similar to a sore throat. I can move the cricoid cartilage side to side and it feels loose it pops. I am 40yrs old 5 8 170 lbs, no health issues. Thank you for your time, Rich

Do you feel like chicke bone poking,if yes then do x ray neck to rule out this.If only chicken bone trauma then it can present as sore throat due to trauma to food pipe area.A post cricoid trauma can cause pain around cricoid area,take pain killers (ibuprofen),if difficulty in swallowing consult your doctor.
