What Causes Pain Inside The Throat And Neck?
Dear Doctor,a day befre yesterday,i felt a sharp pain on the inside of my throat,the left side to be precise,i thought it was symptoms of a soar throat which was going to evovle to something extremely serious.but i still donot have a soar throat,neither do i feel any discomfort wen i swallow anytng.but the left part of my neck still hurts(on the inside)im aware there are nerves there but its beating more than the other side of my neck,it kinda feels like i about to have an ear infection as well but no pain in the neck.i do not know what exactly it is but there is a constant beat on the left side of my neck whic causes a sharp pain.i have just put myself on an antibiotic(Amoxil)to beprecise but i really do not kow what else to do but woud like to know what is going on and the way forward.hope to hear from you.

Hello,
Pain and congestion may be due to infection or allergy or post nasal drip or acid erosion.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Use tablet pantoprazole.
Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.
Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.
If symptoms not improved please consult ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
