What Causes Pain Under Breasts And Stomach Bloating?

I have been having pain right under my breasts, but in the center. It has been happening when I go to bed at night and lasts for hours and is severe. A chiropractor suggested it may be a hiatal hernia and to eat smaller meals throughout the day. I did that today but the pain is back, this time starting at 8:00, before I went to bed. It is also causing nausea and seems to help a little if I burp. Also, my stomach is extremely bloated for the same amount of time.

consider seeing specialist for endoscopy to evaluate upper GI tract including esophagus and stomach. eating small meals does not change symptoms if you have hiatal hernia. to diagnose hiatal hernia you need endoscopy or contrast study such as an upper GI. also you could have simple reflux/GERD/peptic ulcer disease. Trial of over the counter acid suppressing medication may help, do not exceed 4-6 weeks without seeking attention for further diagnostic studies
