What Causes Painful Foot After Injury?

my 2 yr jumped off the coffee table. She immediately started to cry and will not put her full weight on her foot. when she does manage to apply pressure, she is walking funny...not steping on her big toe or instep. There is no swelling, bruising, or any indication of injury. She can move her foot without her crying, but whenever she applies pressure it s painful. What type of injury could she have??

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, since the child is not able to put pressure on toe, an X ray foot should be done to rule out hairline fracture. Take care.
