What Causes Persistent Cough?

my grandson is on levolin syp 1mg/5ml for cough and the cough is persistent for the past 4 days.Giving Crocin syp for fever. These two are mixed and given and there seems to be no respite. His X-rays and Blood report says NIL.Doctor says it's air pollution - which is a global phenomenon. Please advice.

Hi Dear
Welcome to the HCM.
Yes. Allergic bronchitis will be the most appropriate cause for such continuous cough especially when there is nothing got by the investigations.
Avoid allergens like cold causing food, atmosphere etc
Steam inhalation will help a lot along with some antihistaminic and decongestant medicines.
