What Causes Pus Cells In Urine After Kidney Removal?
My mother has 27-28 hpf pus cells. this is after her left kidney was removed 2 months back because of pus cells which had appeared in her urine. The doctor had then asked us to remove the kidney as it was not working perfectly (14%) as per DTPA test. What could be the reason for these new psu cells?

Hello,
The pus cells she is having are signs of infection. Probably she is having another infection to the other kidney that remains since she lots one.
I think she may need to use antibiotics but better do an uroculture first to check which bacteria is causing it and which antibiotic works best.
