What Causes Rash In Area Between Thigh And Pubic Region?

Hi, I'm 17, never had sex, and have fairly good hygiene practices. Over the past few days I have noticed a development in the area where the thigh meets my pubic region in the right crease. It is what appears possibly to be a rash or fungal infection and I have no idea what it is. Please help.

Hello,

Yes, it can be a fungal infection. These are illnesses you can get even when you live in chastity. You can try an OTC-cream anti-fungal and 1%-hydrocortisone and observe how your pubic regions reacts. If it gets worse see a doctor immediately. If it heals, all is fine.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Marius Lazar, Dermatologist
