What Causes Recurrent Pain After Inguinal Hernia Repair Surgery?

Hello,
last July 4th I had surgery to repair an inguinal hernia; it took most of the summer for chronic pain to subside in the scrotum area, but by September everything seemed to be healed. In mid January I began to experience what seemed to be a recurrence of the sort of pain that was present last summer after the hernia operation, and it has not subsided, and now seems to radiate down the leg on the side where the operation was when I walk; beyond lifting a computer I can't think of anything that might have triggered this discomfort.. There does not seem be any sort of bulge resembling the original hernia, so I am puzzled, and rather dismayed by the situation.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
It appears that there was an infection at that time and seems to be subsided, and there is recurrence now again. The other possibility may be the herniation of the omentum, which may not show the swelling.
I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have a C.T.scan for diagnosis.
If infection is there you need to have treatment with the medicines.
If the recurrence of hernia, you may need to have a surgery again.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
