What Causes Red Bumps On Back Of Throat In An Infant?

My 7 month old son has small red bumps/blisters on the back of his throat, accompanied by a high fever we just go back from his doctor and she wrote out a prescription but she didn t call it by any name that I can find online to read up more information about. I was wondering if I could find any answers here.

according to description that you gave, it appears that he is having throat infection (pharyngitis).
it is quite common in childhood. it will get cured with appropiate antibiotics.
