General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Pain abdomen along with mucus and blood in stool is suggestive of one of the following:
Colitis.
Diverticulitis.
Cancer of colon.
I would advise you the following in such a situation.
X-ray of abdomen and if there is fevolith formation then saline soapenema to clear the bowel.
CT scan of abdomen.
Colonoscopy and biopsy to confirm.
All these things along with tests of stool, blood and urine and clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon will help to get a proper diagnosis and give medical and surgical plan.
I find this answer helpful
