I am my 85 year old mother s caregiver. She just had her physical yesterday and is in good general health. Normal weight, non-smoker, arthritis and osteoporosis. She takes Prolia, Synthroid and Merbetriq and amlodipine (as well as Vitamin D and Preservation vitamins.) BP is normal, we are waiting for her blood work back. Today she got very nauseated and had back pain. She s been complaining of fatigue and weakness lately but the nausea and back pain were sudden. She does not want to go to the doctor or eat. I made her a cup of spearmint tea for the nausea and she is alert and resting. The nausea came after a snack of light cheese and crackers. I don t think it s food poisoning or a virus as she has no other symptoms. She did not actually throw up, but retched several times. Should I monitor her for anything or call the doctor tomorrow?
