What Causes Severe Groin Pain With Difficulty In Walking When Suffering From Abductor Tendinitis ?

Yes I am a an advanced kinsieologist trying to help a patient who experiences severe left groin pain with now left leg , walking, bending a problem. I know he has had 5 hernia [ left inguinal surgeries/ mesh] & but his walking leg bending seems like a newer problem for him. At first I diagnosed as abductor tendinitis --I have him on muscle electric therapy and herbs/ minerals regime but i'm not sure this is his problem.. Thank you. Ken M. Griffiths YYYY@YYYY

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The severe groin pain could be due to tendonitis or a pathology of the hip joint like a ligament tear. He needs an nRI scan to detect any soft tissue abnormalities.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
