What Causes Severe Pain And Frequent Bowel Movements After A DaVinci Hysterectomy?
Hello. I am 46 years old, 5 8 and weigh 240 pounds. I had a DaVinci hysterectomy four days ago, and I am experiencing severe pain and frequent bowel movements. I get a very sharp, debilitating pain in my lower pelvic area, and sometimes a sharp pain in the vagina. Within 10 minutes or so, I have a bowel movement. If I m standing, the pain before drops me to my knees. I feel like I can t breathe or move for about 30 seconds. There is no problem with constipation. The movements are frequently and soft. I m starting to get scared, and the pain is getting worse. I do not have a fever. Thank you.
You must undergo routine blood count, electrolytes with clinical examination of abdomen or ultrasound of abdomen.
You will require antibiotics(quinolones or cephalosporins or antiprotozoals etc.) with antiemetic, antispasmodics and antiinflammatories with prebiotics and probiotics.
There will be great need of fluid and electrolyte balance in body.
You must consult your operating surgeon for immediate treatment. Regards
