Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Just last week while on vacation in the US I got sick. Three times I had to vomit, and all three times, after vomiting up the food that I had in my stomach, blood would follow. This has happened many times before as well. Most often when I have heartburn, as I suffer from severe Acid Reflux disease. What could be the cause of my violent vomiting sessions, and do I need to seek help over this?
dear there is a possibility of gastritis with erosions,or peptic ulcers,or esophagitis or malignancy or esophageal varices, boerhavs syndrome or Mallory Weiss tears etc..you may need upper GI scopy.avoid spicy food and alcohol.use tab.nexium before breakfast.if symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
