What Causes Sharp Pain On The Hand And Wrist With Purple Colored Bruise?
Two days ago all of a sudden out of nowhere I got a very sharp very painful throbbing pain on the inside of my left hand more towards the wrist. The pain lasted for about 5 min and after that is stopped hurting as much but my hand hurt way too much to do anything. On the inside of my wrist there is a huge purple circle kind of like a bruise and the pain has not stopped. I now have a burning feeling inside my wrist in addition to a lot of pain. Is this bad?
A thorough clinical assessment is advised followed by an x-ray of the wrist.
As you have pain in the left hand it could be related to the pinched nerve in the cervical spine or may be a CTS.
Undergoing the physical therapy like therapeutic ultrasound therapy and TENS therapy will help reduce the pain. Also, strengthening exercises will be taught which can be performed at home.
In my clinical practice most patients respond well to physical therapy and recovery is optimum
