What Causes Sore Throat And Runny Nose?

Hi, I swallowed a guys cum and I think he may have herpes, but he claims to be clean. I ve been with him 3 times, but the last time (on May 12th), I swallowed. By the 18th of May, I got a cold but no sores (upper back pain, headache, and a runny nose and perhaps a slight temperature). Now, the backpain, headache, and possible slight fever is gone, I have a sore throat and the runny nose is receding. Should I be worried?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a cold or flu. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation. I also suggest to use a throat spray for antibacterial properties. I recommend to drink liquids, rest and gargle with salty water.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physicianhysician
