What Causes Sore Throat And Stomach Upset After Taking Pinworm Medicine?

My daughter took pin worm meds from the doctor 24 hours ago. Her stomach is now upset and she is running a fever. No rashes that I can see but she does complain of upset stomach and sore throat. Could these two be related? Also, Can I give her adult ibuprofen. I only have 200 mg tablet? She is 10, 82 lbs

Hello.....
Sometimes Antihelminthic drugs can cause bowel upset but it is very unlikely to affect throat.
So in my opinion. it is a just a co-incidence to develop sore throat and fever after taking medicine. I think this is most probably a Viral Phyringitis.
So treat this with Tab Paracetamol 125 mg for 10.82 lbs weight associated with precaution against cold foods.
Never give Tab Ibuprofen to children below 6 years of age.
