What Causes Sore Throat With Runny Nose?

My daughter has been sick (cold like symptoms..sore throat, coughing, runny nose etc..) on and off for the past 2 years, ever since she moved in with her boyfriend.
They sleep in the basement of a house that is in a woods, mostly shaded by trees. Very little sunlight. I suspect that is the problem. Any advice?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
Looking at the symptoms, your daughter is probably suffering from symptoms due to Allergy.
She might be allergic to atmosphere in the new place.
If possible,she might find relief by changing the house place.

She may find relief by taking medicines like
Antihistaminic like Cetrizine.
