What Causes Stomach Cramps With Back Pain?

I have severe stomac cramps and find it painful to stand up straight. I cam feel pain in the lower back too...I've had it for about 5 hrs now and the only way I can alleviate the pain is by lying down- but I can't do that, as I am at work. Is there anything I can do?

Hi, thank you for posting.

I have gone through your query and I understamd your concerns.

Your symptoms are caused by peptic ulcer.

To treat it you should take proton pump inhibitor medications such as Nexium.
You should also avoid spicy foods, acidic foods, alcoholic drinks, carbonated drinks, coffee and milk.

But before starting the treatment you must confirm the diagnosis. For the diagnosis you need fibrogastroendoscopy, complete blood count and urine test.

All the best.
Dr. Behar.
