What Causes Sudden Left Sided Pain In Mid Back Region?

I had sudden pain left side, on my midback. . . not on the spine. It was like a popping sensation. Pain went around my left side . . then next day I noticed a dark bruise the size of a half dollar on my left side adjacent to my belly button. Any thoughts?

Hello,

As the bruise on the belly is not connected to the upper back pain. This may be some other thing and needs an abdominal examination on a clinical basis.

The pain in the upper back one side will be related to Trapezius and inter-scapular muscle spasm. Doing hot water fermentation, gentle kneading massage, myofascial release, strengthening exercises should help ease the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
