What Causes Swollen Tummy And Burning Pain In Pelvic Region When Suffering From Hernia?
Hi I am 43have had a tummy condition for 3-4 years now, they say its IBS But now don t know - My tummy is slim in the morning but by mid afternoon even when not eating, It becomes swollen like I am 4 months pregnant and tender to touch, burning pain in all of the pelvic region, a feeling of tightness and general fatigue - these latter symptoms have been more so for the past 3 months. I am due to get bloods on Mon, but have been fobbed off for so long this is really getting me down. I am not overweight and I have grown up children, had ovaries operated on 15 years ago, just enough left for hormones. I have a hernia that gives me great pain also and I am taking Lansoprazole for it but I still get pain with that too! Hope you can help. Thanks
HI. The tummy getting swollen up with the passing of the day can be due to aerophagia meaning swallowing of the air ( unknowingly or with anxiety). But if it is associated with pain or so, it needs to be investigated by standing x-ray of abdomen during the attack, ultrasonography of abdomen to get an idea. Lansoprazole can not really help in hernia. All your problems can be due to intestinal subacute obstruction for which enteroclysis may be necessary. All these investigations are necessary to find out the real cause and guide for the real treatment.
