What Causes Tingling And Pain In Ankle After An Injury?

Hi. A week ago today I fell and heard cracking sounds in my ankle. I went to the er they did an xray, they didn t see anything broken. Its still a little swollen, my whole foot is bruising and my toes are tingling. It hurts if I m on it for long periods at a time. Also hurts to touch certain places on my foot. I m in a splint and they also have a ace bandage on it. How long before the tingling, hurting, and bruising goes away?

Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I think that you may be having ankle sprain as fracture has been already excluded by x ray. You are advised to keep it elevated over pillow. You are advised to take rest. You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief.Active toe movements will be of use in reducing swelling. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any further questions then don't hesitate to writing to us . I will be happy to help you.
