What Causes Trouble In Urinating?

I am having trouble urinating. I have tried relaxing my bladder, pushing gently and even dringking a lot of fluids. I have a shy bladder but there is nothing that should be triggering that. It has happened more often in the past few days. What should I do?

Hello,

You need following workup or investigations to reach up to exact cause.
_USG pelvis and transrectal USG to rule out prostate enlargement
_History regarding stress also should be taken to rule out anxiety-induced retention problem
_IVP or x-ray abdomen and pelvis to rule out any obstructive pathology if present.

According to the cause-specific treatment given. Kindly attach your reports if available.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
