What Causes Upset Stomach Followed By Vomiting, Sweating And Stomach Pain?

I woke up in the middle of the night with an upset stomach I had to use the bathroom and throw up. I also became very hot and sweaty. I continue to get pain in my stomach off and on with these hot flashes and sweats. Could this be food poisoning or the Flu?
