What Causes Water Discharge Through The Eyes Of A 3 Week Old?

my daughter is of 3 weeks age . for past 15 days she is getting water in her eyes initially doctor had prescribed ofloxacin opthalmic solution IP, as there was no improvement doctor has changed the drop and prescribed tobramycin opthalmic solution USP. please advice

Hi, in 3 week baby eye discharge usually occurs due to blocked nasolacrimal duct. You need to massage the nasal part of nose at the point of eye. This should be done for 2 minutes 5 times a day for 3 months. Take care.
