What Causes Weight Gain While Treating IBS?

I was diagnosed with ibs 13 years ago , till this day I have yet to find a cure and since gained 25 plus pounds. I have seen multiple doctors, been a ginnie pig on multiple medications and have done colenoscopys and endoscopys with no sign of anything wrong. Any advice would be helpful thank you..
