What Causes White Discharge From Behind The Ear?

My 8 week old son has a very bad rash over his head and face. I took him to the doctors yesterday and they said its just a virus rash nothing to worry about. But now he has a white discharge behind his ear and it has a very fishy smell to it. What can this be?

Hi... He probably has a viral exanthem which is causing otitis media too. He might require antibiotics after an otoscopy. Please see your pediatrician. Happy to help anytime. If you are happy with my reply, kindly rate it.
