What Causes White Spots After Sunburn?

I was out in sun for 2 days and got a little sunburn. I developed red bumps on my arm that looked like a rash. It didn t itch or anything. The burn went away within 2 days and my skin tanned. A few days later I noticed white spots on my skin where the rash was. Is this some type of reaction to the sun or something with my pigmentation?
