What Could An Itchy Urethra Along With Burning During Urination Indicate?

I have been having this itch in my urethra for the past couple of weeks and I don't know what it could be. I also have burning sensation sometimes when I urinate. Both symptoms come and go and aren't permanent. I know that it cannot be an STD because I've had the same sex partner for the past two months and she is clean and I haven't been sexually active for almost a month. I haven't had any discharges, and it doesn't hurt to ejaculate. I was thinking that this could be a urinary tract infection? Please let me know as soon as you can. Thank you for your time.

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have UTI.

Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.,and get blood tests done to rule out diabetes.

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexine along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
