What Could Be A Bruise On Abdomen Under Left Rib Cage With A Pea Size Painful Lump In A 5 Years Old Child?

I have an almost 5 year old daughter with a bruise on her abdomen under her left rib cage that I noticed a couple of days ago. Just today when examining it again, I felt a small pea size lump in the very center. When I gently press on it she says it hurts. She, nor I, remember an injury occurring. I am concerned. Should I just monitor it or take her to doc ASAP?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
Your are seeing it since last two years, if it is increasing in size since then or became painful (Touching or pinching the skin of child can cause the pain and this is not sign of painful lesion) then it does matter otherwise you have to keep an eye on it for this, in my opinion it could be congenital type of growth and that need to be clinically examined, take care have nice day.
I find this answer helpful
