What Could Be The Cause For Repeated Spells Of Feeling Hot And Then Cold And Dizzy ?

She is 13 years old she gets hot than cold. Dizzy and sometimes vomits. When sleeping she wakes up and feels cold than gets hot. After she has these spells gets very tired She in the last few months has gained weight. Her eating habbits are healthy and is active young lady.

It is possible that her symptoms are due to hormonal fluctuations that are common in this age as menstruation starts and gradually becomes regular. The other possibility is that she may be suffering from some other hormonal abnormalities like thyroid. In my opinion, she should consult a doctor and get routine blood tests done, in addition to thyroid hormone levels, so that a proper diagnosis can be made.
