High calcium level is commonly due to overactive nodule of Parathyroid glands, which are located over the Thyroid glands.
MRI of Parathyroid glands and estimation of
Parathyroid hormone in the blood are required for the diagnosis.
High cholesterol can be due to either, genetic/ familial; or, due to obesity, high fat intake, lack of physical exercises,
diabetes and Thyroid problem- to name a few.
Low fat diet, weight reduction, regular exercises, control of diabetes (if any) and evaluation for thyroid problem, followed by appropriate replacement
hormonal therapy will bring down cholesterol to normal levels.
