What Could Be The Reason Behind Easy Fatigues While Having Vit.D Deficiency And On Thyroid Medication?

I was Dx with a vitamin D deficiency and I take these daily, approx 4000 mgs daily, which the doctor suggested . I am 67 and very healthy. I do take a thyroid medication as well. I still get tired easily. Can a low acting thyroid make one tired a lot? I know these parts of the body fluctuate a lot, and diet, and exercise could play a part. Please answer. Rita

Hi Madam Rita, This is very true that the low acting thyroid can cause easy fatigue. A you are on the medication for thyroid and Vit D, you need to check the recent levels of with the tests. Free T3, Free T4 and TSH. the fresh report can tell whether you need to adjust the doses. This should be done on a regular basis , at least twice in a year.
