What Could Be The Reason For Having Pain In My Left Armpit?
Been having pain in my left armpit for 1 month now and have difficulty lifting heavy objects due to pain.Need pillow under arm just to sleep. Have had this same pain off and on for over 2 yrs. now. Been to emergency room and my Dr. several time and have had many tests, but everything comes back okay. Have been diagnosed with pleurisy about 20 years ago, have had costochondritis many times, and pneumonia and bronchitis twice in past 5 yrs. (female, 52 yrs. old, taking Metformin and blood pressure meds.) HELP!!
here are some things that can help you rule out your doubts: 1) pleurisy results in patch pain on both inhalation and exhalation 2) pneumonia is associated with fever, pleural pain and increased rate of breathing 3) bronchitis is associated with cough and lots of sputum +/- fever 4 ) costocondritis is associated with localized tenderness on coughing or pressing the area involved
look at these symptoms and decide what you might have
if not it could be a case of cervical spondylosis for which you should go to an orthopaedic surgeon symptoms are tingling /numbness in the left hand, shooting pain
