What Could Be The Reason For Nausea After Any Illness Like Cold, Headache After Returning From Jamaica?
Several years ago my family and I traveled to Jamaica for a wedding. After returning I came down with a very bad stomach flu with diarrhea and nausea. I was hospitalized for almost three weeks due to dehydration, but never really got the answer of what caused it. Since then I have been tested for a number of different things like Hepatitis, etc., due to being in Jamaica, but they all come out negative. My liver level has never been normal since this happened and now it appears that every time I have any type of illness at all (headache, cold, cough, etc.,) my stomach becomes nauseated and I through up for no reason. Is there something else I should have checked?

I think you should for for Upper GI Endoscopy and tests for the lax lower esophageal sphincter or a para-esophageal hernia, which might have developed due to past illness. This may be the reason for easy nausea and vomiting.
