What Could Cause Large Bruise On Backside Where There Is Sciatic Pain?

Hi, I have my first bout with sciatica. :( I am a 53 year old female. Have had the sciatica now since about 2/4/14. Today, my husband said I have a large bruise on the area of my backside. It is on the sciatic pain spot, if that makes sense. The sciatica allieviates, then flares up, etc. I am concerned about the bruise. What would cause both issues? Thank you.

yes it's true sciatica flare up in between the normal painless period.as far as bruise is concerned to me it could be because of excessive hot fomentation. you will get over the bruise issue iam sure.
