What Could Cause Long Lasting Effect In Pain Regulation Instead Of Lortab?
I have been under pain management for almost 3 years now. I am currently prescribed Lortab 10/325 but after time, I have built up a tolerance and they don t help like they used to, I want to know what options I can discuss w/my doctor concerning something similar to Lortab but longer lasting so I m not constantly having to take meds every 3 to 4 hours. Can anyone explain the duration of some of these extended release meds?
Non-narcotic methods should consider. You can come off in various ways. Taking something that blocks any of them from doing anything. If you take naloxone (blocker), then you probably go into withdrawal because it blocks all opiates out of your system. Taking less of whatever you are taking (taper). Going on another opiate and then stabilizing on that one then tapering that one off. MS Contin (long-acting morphine) OXYCONTIN (long-acting oxycodone) and some for long-acting hydrocodone or lortab Eight trials found no statistical difference in pain relief or function between long-acting opioids.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Matt Wachsman
