What Could Cause Pain Near Right Scapula?

Hi. I m a 46 year old white male height 6 3 250 lbs. Up until a year ago I would define myself as healthy. Vigorous exercise (resistance training and cycling) five days per week followed by a couple beers every night. Completed a 100 mile bike ride 18 months ago. I had been feeling pain near my right scapula for several years which then progressed to burning and numbness in right arm and hand and as a result I had to have surgery in my lower neck (bone spur removed and fused C-6 and C-7) four months ago. Fusion is healing very well but have been struggling with anxiety issues off and on through this surgery process (presuming due to lack of intense exercise). 1 month ago I began suffering from diarrhea (or soft green stool) and fatigue Went to the doc and they gave me antibiotic Cipro. Felt better a few days later and then it came back again. I went back to the doctor a week ago. Doctor ordered stool sample and blood tests. Results came back clear. Can all this be related to anxiety ?

Hello,

As mentioned by you about the history which included your physical awareness, sports activity, operation and stomach infection. Looks everything fine except that you are having an anxiety issue. You need to calm down for a while and once you are fine you can go back to your old life style which quiet remarkable.

The pain in the limbs is due to nerve entrapment at anywhere in its course. Mostly at the cervical region.

I would say it's more of trapezitis for you which is leading to noise in the scapula and pain in the region around.

Releasing the trapezius muscle with the help of MFR or IASTM along with hot water fermentation should help you get relief.

Do meditation and deep breathing exercise to reduce the anxiety.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
