What Could Cause Sudden Bruising Spot In A 2 Months Old Child?

hi i have a question about my 2 month old nephew, 4 large spots that look to be bruises suddenly appeared on his foot, nothing has happened to injure the foot, he has no other symptoms and the area does not seem to cause him any pain when touched. what could cause this

Hi... As you say they have suddenly appeared & his age is 2 months... It could be a condition called - late hemorrhagic disease of the newborn. Eben though the baby is active & feeding well...
