What Could Cause Swollen And Tender Part Of Foot Causing Pain While Walking?

For about a week the top inner part of my right foot has been swollen and tender. It feels like a bruise but there is no discoloration of the skin. It hurts only if you rub the area, which is about 5cm in diameter. If I walk for more than a half hour it begins to ache as it swells a bit more. I was in a very cold climate 10 days ago, and am now in a hot country, whichcertzinly doesn't help reduce the swelling. .
